Legendary Nigerian producer and Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy has opened up about the pressure of constant financial requests, admitting his inability to meet every need brought to him.
In a viral video, he explained that while some requests may seem small, they quickly add up. “People say Don Jazzy, you should be able to take care of my ₦1 million problem or my ₦100,000 problem… but you don’t know if today I have already sorted 50 people’s ₦5 million naira problem and that’s a lot of money,” he said.
The music executive noted that as a public figure, the volume of requests he receives is far greater than what many might imagine. “Some of us public figures are widely known as people that God has blessed but no matter how much money you have you cannot fix everyone’s problem,” he added.
Despite his generosity, Don Jazzy admitted that turning people away is not easy. “…it gives me sleepless nights but they say if you react to every touching story, one day you will become a touching story.”
