Award-winning rapper and lyricist, Black Sherif, has described the Iron Boy Tour as a near-supernatural experience throughout his career since breaking into the spotlight.
The globally celebrated artiste, in an interview with Y102.5FM’s NYDJ, noted that the tour, which spanned North America and Europe, involved intense travel schedules with back-to-back flights between performances. “That was my very first extensive tour. For the Iron Boy tour, we could finish a show at 11:00 PM and catch a flight at 3:00 AM to another city for another show.”
Amid the constant movement, the “Traveller” hitmaker revealed that his health took a significant toll. “At times, if I am to mount the stage at 8:00 PM, from that morning to 7:00 PM, I could have a serious catarrh, with my nose blocked and all that,” he shared.
Despite the physical strain, Black Sherif noted that he consistently found the strength to deliver for his fans. “I got really sick, but the moment I get on stage and hold the mic, there’s this relief and energy that comes from nowhere.”
