Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Gloria Ampofo in partnership with the International Youth Society of Ghana, has officially launched a Black Stars theme song ahead of the forthcoming 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The official launch of Gloria Ampofo’s Black Stars World Cup campaign song, titled, “Ghana Black Stars are Great Stars” was held at the Mikado Conference Center, Accra.

The launch was held under the theme: “Reigniting the Patriotic Spirit of Ghanaians to Support the Black Stars to Victory” as several esteemed dignitaries with the likes of the Acting President of MUSIGA, Mr. Bessa Simons, President of the International Youth Society, Africa, Col. Dr. Kelvin Morgan, Rev Bishop Popson Adjei, with Executives and members of the Aglow Women International among others graced the occasion.

The event rolled out with some resounding tunes form the El Wak Keep Fit Club-Jama group with a brief but inspiring sermon from Evangelist Comfort Agyeman.

Taking her turn, Gloria Ampofo with the Aglow Women International choir shared an amusing and heartfelt song ministration.

“Composing a song doesn’t come easy, recording it is also a different game and after that, to put it out there for people to enjoy requires tough work. From everyone at MUSIGA, we want to congratulate our very own Gloria for this wonderful tribute to the Black Stars and also the International Youth Society for their support. The piece is amazing and everyone needs to get a copy to cheer on the Black Stars,” Bessa Simons remarked.

On his part, the Commander of the International Police Commission-Ghana and President of the International Youth Society, Africa, Col Dr. Kelvin Morgan reiterated the need for Ghanaians and the youth to own the indigenous narrative and champion for gold.

“Today is indeed a special day and glory to the Lord for this day. It has taken me a lot but the Lord has given me a lot as well. I love football and you’d usually see me cheering during our local games. So, I thought since I have found talent in singing, why can’t I contribute and do one for our National Team,” Gloria Ampofo, crooner of the ‘Black Stars are Great Stars’ anthem shared.
