Ghanaian hip pop artiste, Jeoffrey Sylvanus Dodji popularly known as Captain Planet in the entertainment circles, has mentioned that it is childish to show off on social media as a celebrity.
Addressing the constant debate on social media about which celebrity looks fly, he mentioned that he was too matured for that and even felt shy for those who showed off their wealth.
‘’I feel shy when someone talks about wearing expensive clothes and that is how I am because when I started this thing, those trying to compete with me now were very young. Comparing my style to someone who was not there when I started my style is childish,’’ he said to Kojo Manuel on Y107.9FM during ‘DrYve’ of your Lyfe show.
Captain Planet who is more concerned about making money stated that wearing expensive clothes and showing off did not add anything to the musical craft of artistes nor added anything to their bank accounts.
‘’I am too matured to be talking about expensive clothes and showing off. Right now, what I am thinking about is how to make money.’’
The ‘Abodie’ hit maker who is being true to himself explained that he is living his life and did not care about people’s comments.
‘’I am living my life so if you are somewhere and you are calculating it, that is you but I don’t care’.’
He told music lovers to listen to his new song ‘Abodie’ featuring Kuami Eugene on all music streaming platforms and also support his music.
