Y107.9FM (YFM) has reinforced its position as Ghana’s leading youth and urban radio station with an outstanding performance at the 12th annual Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Palms Convention Centre.
The station’s talent roster secured multiple prestigious awards, demonstrating YFM’s continued excellence in Ghana’s entertainment industry. Leading the victories was Kojo Manuel, host of the ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe’ show, who claimed his fourth consecutive MC/Hypeman of the Year title, maintaining his reign since 2022 as Ghana’s premier MC/Hypeman.
Adding to YFM’s accolades, DJ Nyce was crowned Female Radio DJ of the Year, prevailing over strong competition including DJ Amoanic, DJ Ohema Woyegye, among others. Her win marks a significant milestone for women in Ghana’s male-dominated entertainment industry.
The station’s success continued with Kojo Manuel and DJ Loft’s collaborative project “Cups & Bass” winning Mixtape of the Year. DJ Loft, the resident DJ for YFM’s “Ryse N Shyne” show, and Kojo Manuel’s innovative collaboration stood out in the competitive DJ scene.
