DJ, producer, and friendly neighbourhood emerging artiste supporter, KQ The Artist, offers his latest single titled “GØLD”. The track is a joint effort with Døku and Oshunda, produced collectively by the three, with vocals led by Døku.
Døku describes the record as an affirmation, written as a meditation to silence doubt and embrace ambition. “‘Everything I touch turns to gold’ is a self-affirmation that instills belief that any endeavor will succeed,” he explained.
According to him, the song draws inspiration from the King Midas story but flips its negative undertone of greed into one centered on aspiration and hope. He also weaves in a subtle interpolation of *Midas Touch* by Midnight Star, shifting its message of love toward one about life and growth.
