Award winning, contemporary highlife musician, Kwabena Kwabena, has described controversies as a normal part of life.
In an exclusive interview with Nana Quasi-Wusu (PM) on Y97.9FM’s ‘Dryve of Your Lyfe Show’, Kwabena Kwabena said, “Besides if they don’t talk about you it means you’re nobody so I always see it as normal, even if what they’re saying is not true and it’s tarnishing my image.”
He however blames some bloggers for not always putting out the truth with their posts.
“Bloggers I think should also be candid and they should know what they put on their blogs,” he said.
Kwabena Kwabena does not really care about controversies as he feels the truth will always stand no matter how hard anyone tries to tarnish or destroy another’s image.
“I believe the truth will always stand so far as the Almighty God lives. It won’t stand only if that’s not the truth.”
According to him, the Ghanaian society unfortunately is filled with people who actually rejoice about negative stuff and choose to be quiet about the positive things.
“We only want to propel negativity and I’ve come to accept that. I’ve been with you guys for 17 years and you’ve shown me so much love and I appreciate it,” he noted.
He also added that another reason he chooses not to respond to controversies is because he believes that, it comes with all of it. “The controversies, love and everything together makes me who I am still,” he insisted.
