Accomplished Ghanaian radio producer Lawrenda Danso of Happy 98.9FM has been nominated for Media Producer of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA (GEAUSA), recognising her longstanding contribution to radio production and Ghana’s media and entertainment industry.
Lawrenda currently serves as the producer of Ayekoo Evening Drive, Happy 98.9FM’s weekday afternoon drive programme, which airs from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Through her work behind the scenes, she plays a critical role in shaping the programme’s content, coordinating its production and ensuring that listeners receive engaging, relevant and entertaining radio.
Her nomination comes as the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA announces its nominees for the 2026 edition, celebrating outstanding Ghanaian and African talent across music, film, media, digital content, fashion and the creative arts.
With many years of experience in Ghana’s production landscape, Lawrenda Danso has built an impressive career behind some of the country’s popular radio programmes. Over the years, she has been involved in producing a number of shows across the radio landscape, bringing together content, presenters, guests and production elements to deliver compelling programmes for audiences.
Her experience has seen her contribute to the production of programmes including Ayekoo Evening Drive, as well as other radio shows produced during her years in the industry. Her consistency, attention to detail and understanding of radio audiences have established her as one of the experienced professionals working behind the scenes to keep Ghanaian radio vibrant.
