Leadership in the telecom industry: The secret to success as shared by Vodafone CEO

CEO of Vodafone Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai has divulged that leaders in the telecommunication industry can excel in their field if they keep up with technology.
According to her, the telecommunication industry is making use of fast-changing technologies to meet the needs of their customers and it has become imperative that leaders in the industry take advantage of this phenomenon.
In an interview with Rev.Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series of the Myd Morning show, she advised,” You must know your stuff because technology is changing so quickly. You can’t be offering old solutions to new problems because customer needs are changing”.
“You will be there and your business will be substituted and you wouldn’t even know. People are no longer using the cameras to take pictures, they are using phones and life has moved on. You can’t be picking phone calls when everybody is on the app. So you need to really keep up with the technology if you are in the telco industry”, she added.
The telecommunications industry has been transformed by technology and it is expected to go through more transformation as new trends in technology are being introduced.
