Medikal explains why he named daughter ‘Island’

Ghanaian HipHop Musician, Samuel Adu Frimpong, popularly known as Medikal has disclosed the reason for naming his daughter ‘Island’.
Medikal got social media stirred up when he announced the name of his daughter.
Speaking in an interview on Y107.9 on ‘MMRS’ with Rev Erskine, the rapper said: “Why I named my daughter Island is because I feel my baby is special and an Island is a land in the middle of water and I feel she came from a different space so I chose to give her that beautiful name ‘Island’ “.
The ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker made known that he named his latest EP after his daughter.
“The Island EP was because of my baby. We named my baby before she even came out. So she is the person who inspired the ‘EP’ Island. so she is the reason why I put out the album EP. The EP is not the reason why I named my baby ‘Island’ “,he added.
Medikal is out with a new EP titled ‘The Island EP’. The EP features artiste like Kwesi Slay, Armani, Kevin Fianko, Ahtitude and many more.
