Ghanaian afrobeat singer, D Jay, has revealed how his mother motivated him to write his latest single, ‘Balance It’.
In an interview with BrownBerry on Y107.9FM’s RyseNShyne show, D Jay said “For balance it, my mum inspired the song. I was in my room and I heard her sing and make some sweet melodies. I went out and recorded her on my phone but she didn’t know I was doing that.”
‘Afterwards, I came back to my room played it back over the speakers. When my mother heard herself in the speakers, she asked about it”.
“I told her I recorded her and we did the whole thing together. So, we actually wrote the song together,” he mentioned.
D Jay stated said he get excited whenever he hears the song being played and enjoyed by others.
