Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo Esq. has indicated that the government of Ghana is still discovering the challenges that surround welfare of young people in Ghana.
Speaking at the National Youth Forum on Wednesday, the minister explained that the forum presents the Ministry and all other associate bodies with the opportunity to understand the youth’s challenges from a more personal standpoint. “We have not solved the youth challenges yet and we have not finished bring the solutions that is why we have invited you here today to propose to us. So that we can all work together to make Ghana better.”
The Minister urged Ghanaian youth to be rest assured of the heir challenges and practical suggestions voiced out to go through the requisite stages to be transformed into development policies. “Your voices do not end here. Tell us what is not working, so that we can work towards it together. We take what we hear ground it into evidence and translate it to policy.
Held under the theme, “A Sound Youth, A Sound Nation: Your Voice. Your Future. Our Ghana.”, The National Youth Forum places young people at the centre of conversations about the country’s development while encouraging them to actively contribute to decisions that affect their present and future.
