The Chief Executive Officer of Nimed Capital Limited, Abena Brigidi, has advised the youth on how they can grow professionally.
The investment analyst shared that for one to grow professionally there is the need to move from the comfort zone and explore other areas in the professional field.
In a conversation with Rev. Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series, she admonished: “Learn to multitask when you have a position. If you are an analyst who only does reports try as much as possible to look into different desks and what they do and learn in that same space. If you see articles, read them. Don’t be stationed, you need to continuously improve yourself and this would mean engaging in these different acts”.
Abena, illustrating her point, noted that if one aims to be the Chief Executive Officer of an organization, the best thing to do is to “understand some bits of every field” so that you are not stationed at your comfort zone.
Besides, her admonition for young professionals already working in their various fields, she encouraged young ones yet to step into the tertiary field to enrol at institutions that provide practical education. This she says will create the exposure they need before they get to the working field.
Abena B. Brigidi is a Ghanaian investment analyst author and speaker. She is a certified financial analyst and a thoroughly bred banker with over a decade in the financial Industry.
