Okomfo Kwadee in an interview with Happy FM has listed his top two Ghanaian artists who are currently promoting Ghana’s culture to the world.
Speaking to Dr. Cann on Saturday, Kwadee listed Bhim Nation’s Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
“Speaking about international scene I will mention Stonebwoy.” He said. “He is lifting the flag of Ghana, Shatta Wale is also lifting the flag, he brings excitement into the system now. All what they are doing is cool but I also want to hear music where the older generation can listen to when they are thinking. Words that can draw attention to issues Ghana is facing. If you write a song and it doesn’t correspond to the issues Ghana is facing, then I will assume you are deviating.
“Right now Stonebwoy is hard and Shatta Wale is hard too. I wish Obrafour, Obour and the rest will return to the beginning where the Ghanaian culture was evident in our music.”
Okomfo Kwadee will be performing along side Shatta Wale on Saturday at the 2016 RTPs.
