Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is set to replace Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, according to a report in Italy.
Now in his third Premier League season, the Spaniard signed a new deal with his current employers last summer which was due to take him to 2021 at the Etihad Stadium.
But his spell with the champions could end as soon as this summer with Allegri’s contract set to finish at the end of the season.
Il Giornale reporter Luigi Guelpa, who broke the news Cristiano Ronaldo would join Juventus from Real Madrid, told Radio CRC his latest information.
“I’ve learned that Pep Guardiola already has reached a verbal agreement with Juventus for the next four years. It’s the same person who told me that Ronaldo was going to Juventus,” he said.
The deal would come as a shock but given Man City are now under investigation over alleged Financial Fair Play breaches and if found guilty the club could be thrown out of the Champions League, it’s easy to see why Guardiola may wish to leave.
If he took the role he would be aiming to win a league title in his fourth different nation having won LaLiga with Barcelona, the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, and the Premier League with Manchester City.
