Celebrated broadcaster, hypeman and master of ceremonies PM The Presenter has been nominated for Hypeman/MC of the Year at the 2026 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA (GEAUSA), adding another major recognition to his growing career in Ghana’s entertainment and events industry.
The nomination puts the Y97.9FM-Takoradi personality among some of Ghana and Africa’s notable creative talents being recognised at this year’s awards, which celebrate excellence across music, film, media, digital content, fashion and the wider creative arts industry.
For PM The Presenter, real name Nana Quasi-Wusu, the nomination is a reflection of more than a decade of commanding stages, engaging audiences and helping create memorable moments at some of the country’s biggest entertainment and corporate events.
Over the years, PM has built a reputation as one of the energetic and versatile MCs emerging from Ghana’s Western Region. His career behind the microphone has taken him from entertainment events and concerts to corporate programmes, award ceremonies, festivals and high-profile brand activations.
He has hosted and hyped several major events featuring some of Ghana’s biggest artistes and entertainment personalities, earning a reputation for his ability to read a crowd, control the energy in a room and keep audiences engaged from start to finish.
His experience in broadcasting has also played a key role in shaping his approach to MCing. As the host of Y97.9FM’s ‘Dryve of The Ur Lyfe’ show which airs every weekday from 3pm to 7pm, PM has remained closely connected to Ghana’s music and entertainment ecosystem, while using his platform to spotlight artistes, events and emerging talents.
Speaking on the nomination, PM said the recognition is particularly meaningful because it represents years of consistency and commitment to his craft.
“I’m truly grateful for this nomination. I’ve been doing this for over a decade, and every stage has taught me something different. Being an MC is not just about speaking into a microphone; it’s about understanding the audience, creating the right energy and making sure people leave with an experience they won’t forget. The 2026 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Avenue Event Center in New Jersey.
Voting opens on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, and closes on September 20, 2026.
