Ghanaian recording artiste and songwriter, Pure Akan has released his album called “Nyame Mma”. In a conversation with Y Lounge host Akosua Hanson, he revealed that the album “Nyame Mma” is ultimately about reflecting and becoming aware of the God given power we possess as human beings. This power is the ability to reproduce, the chance to evolve, and also recognize the mass wealth of nature we’ve been blessed with.
During the pre listening of the album on Yfm, the hit maker disclosed he is very excited to release this album because the entire project challenged him to create something new under absolutely no inspirational influence. He recalled how he isolated himself from external factors including music to be able to produce an authentic project. The process for him was a lot of back and forth in recording the songs because of the different locations of studios.
Among the songs played on air was “Nkiti Nkiti”. The songwriter said he was inspired by folklores of “By the fireside”, a popular Ghanaian children’s programme. He added that children are the future hence it is imperative for parents to pass down good traits to them to avoid making bad decisions.
