Ghana’s trendsetting radio brand, YFM will begin a live listening session to screen and successfully select which Rapture entries make it to the next stage of the country’s most anticipated rap reality show.
After receiving over 800 entries from across the country, the Rapture team now has the responsibility to screen and select the dopest and cleanest entries which will make it to the next round and battle for the Rapture crown.
The listening session which begins on Monday July 5, 2021 to Wednesday July 7, 2021 across the Y-Traingle (Y107.9FM, Y102.5FM, Y97.9FM) will see the active participation of listeners to ensure transparency.
The listening session will be carried live on Shouts on Y, Dryve of Your Lyfe and Lyricist Lounge at 1:40pm and 4:25pm each day on Y107.9FM, Accra. Y102.5FM, Kumasi and Y97.9FM, Takoradi, on the other hand, will activate their listening sessions on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 simultaneously.
Rapture, sourced from the words Rap+Culture and Future seeks to keep the rap culture alive and revive the love Ghanaians have for the genre.
The ultimate winner of Rapture will receive a Ghc50,000 digital distribution deal from Crux Global and a cash prize of Ghc10,000. The winner will also be privileged to work with some of the dopest sound engineers in Ghana. Rapture is sponsored by Rich Energy Drink.
