Real Madrid's Fines For Lateness, Being Overweight And Using Mobiles Revealed

Real Madrid’s fine policy has been leaked online, showing how much Los Blancos players are charged if they fall foul of the rules.
Deportes Cuatro have accessed information of the regulations the 13-time European champions have in place – with the disciplinary fines ranging from 250 euros all the way up to 3,000 euros.
Documents show that Real Madrid first-teamers must turn up at the Valdebebas facility 45 minutes before every training session and are fined 250 euros if they are five minutes late. 15 minutes sees a 500 euros fine and up to 1,000 euros depending on how bad a player’s timekeeping is.
If a player decides to not turn up at all and the reason is not valid then they are faced with a 3,000 euros fine – the highest amount in the fine system.

There’s a big ban on the misuse on mobile phones. If a player uses their phone when with the physio getting treatment or in the dressing room or team bus they must pay 250 euros, with MARCA saying 500 euros and 1000 euros is the set amount if they continue to break the rule.
Players who do not make weight at the mandatory weekly weigh-in are fined 250 euros from the off and it could rise to 1000 euros if the individual is a repeat offender.
Interestingly, all Real players are required to notify the club if they are travelling out of Madrid on a day off or participating in commercial/media activities. If these are not approved then the guilty player could end up being charged 1000 euros.

Moreover, the documents note that those not in the matchday squad still need to be in the dressing room before the match and they need to remain at the stadium until at least 80th minute.
Finally, no visitors are allowed in rooms during away trips and players must wear official club attire for press conferences.
While most of these fines won’t exactly leave Real players out of pocket, they make for very interesting reading given Barcelona were only fined 300 euros for tapping up Antoine Griezmann.
