Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale has acknowledged the influence of fellow rapper Sarkodie within Ghana’s music industry, describing him as a key decision-maker whose impact cannot be ignored.
Shatta Wale in a viral interview with Adesope Olajide stated that Sarkodie’s voice carries significant weight in the industry despite the varying opinions of fellow industry players.
He further stated that he collaborates with Sarkodie as a negotiator with mutual goal to solidify the value of Ghana’s music industry. “I am the negotiator; I feel everything that I have told Sark, even though has not supported all of it still sees my efforts and sees the risk that I take.”
Shatta Wale indicated that his agenda goes beyond building a legacy but rather paving way for the next generation of Ghana’s music stars. “If I don’t do this, I don’t know when your kids or my kids will get up and say they want to do music.”
