Sterling Sports Africa’s Padmond Osei led his team, Anokye Stars, to win Baby Jet U-16 Tournament in Ashanti Region last week.
The captain of Anokye Stars, Osei Padmond also won the Goal King of the Tournament.
Anokye Stars FC emerged winners of the Baby Jet U-16 Tournament in Ashanti Region after edging rivals Ebony FC 7-6 on penalties on Sunday afternoon.
The game which took place at the Wesley College Park saw the two sides locked in a marathon penalty shootout after a pulsating draw in regulation time.
Padmond Osei converted the last kick in sudden to win the prestigious two-day tournament for the most popular and consistent colts clubs in the region – Anokye Stars.
Both teams were tied at 0-0 in regulation time and had to be separated by spot kicks.
Anokye Stars have qualified for the final to be played in Accra.
Legend Asamoah Gyan-whose foundation has put this tournament together-was present at the WESCO Park.
