On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, news broke that Kwaw Kese’s son had died some three days after he was born at an unnamed private health facility in Accra.
Doctors at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where the baby was transferred to after developing heart complications on Friday, June 29, 2018, told the parents there was nothing they could do to save the baby’s life.
But Kwaw Kese responding to the unfortunate demise of his son said there’s no difference between the Children’s ward at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and a prison.
“I have been to prison before and if I tell you there’s no difference between the children’s ward and prison I bet you, I’m being very truthful. It is extremely unhealthy, the situation there is pathetic,” Kwaw told Starr FM.
The emotionally hurt rapper in his narrative challenged the media to go to Korle Bu Children’s ward to verify if he’s telling lies. He said;
“The situation at the Korle Bu Children’s Ward was an eyesore. I wish after saying this you’ll come and have a look at it yourself or you’ll send your colleague journalists to report on the issue.
You have to see the children’s emergency unit, trust me. What the newborn babies and their mothers go through is pathetic. I mean this ward that houses newborn babies, I’m talking about a day old baby. The place is extremely vulnerable, anything at all can happen to those babies.” |
