Nigerian influencer, Eni Adeoluwa has shared his thoughts on the importance of young people demanding change and getting involved in matters that affect their lives.

During the interview on Y 107.9 FM’s “Party Pressure” with host Princess AJ, Eni at the back of the just-ended Nigerian elections highlighted the significance of young people participating in elections and other activities having an impact on their lives.

He emphasized that change happens gradually and that it is a continuous process, encouraging young people to keep pushing for change.

Eni also expressed his excitement about the recent #EndSARS protests in Nigeria, stating that it was the second time he had seen Nigerians rally for something they wanted. He acknowledged that Nigeria could achieve great things as a unit and one people.

“Elections do matter and I think it’s important for young people as well to get themselves involved in things that actually matter and affects our lives. I always say change doesn’t happen immediately. I say that change happens gradually and it’s a continuous thing. The more you try the better it gets. So I think that’s the idea of it.”

“I’m really excited that that’s the second time I’ve seen Nigerians rally for something they wanted and sometimes I sit back and be like yea we can actually do great stuff as a unit and one people. It’s exciting.”

Eni hilariously highlighted the issue of electricity in Nigeria as he said, “We are actually pushing to be like Ghana now with 24 hours of electricity. I haven’t seen a light blink since I came. It’s always on and that’s different – some people do have lights where I come from but others in some States struggle. I know that’s among the banters between Ghana and Nigeria on social media.”

The Nigerian influencer is currently in Ghana as Crocs brand ambassador as part of the company’s efforts to expand its market in Africa. The footwear company, known for its clogs and sandals, is hoping to tap into the growing African market and has identified Ghana as a key market.
