YFM, Ghana’s premier urban radio station, proudly presents the third batch of six outstanding individuals in the #YPOWERICONS2025 campaign, spotlighting remarkable young Ghanaians aged 15-35 who are reshaping industries and inspiring communities across the nation.
This latest group showcases pacesetters, innovators, creative entrepreneurs, and influential personalities who are using their platforms to drive meaningful change and represent Ghana on the global stage.
THE FOURTH SIX Y POWER ICONS 2025
FOSTER AWINTITI AKUGRI – Entrepreneur, Founder & President of Hacklab Foundation
Foster Awintiti Akugri (born 24 November 1994 in Zebilla Natinga, Ghana) is a Ghanaian tech entrepreneur, innovation strategist, and youth empowerment advocate. He is the Founder and President of Hacklab Foundation, a non-profit that equips African youth—especially women—with digital skills through hackathons, mentorship, and training, aiming to impact one million young people by 2030. Foster also served as Head of Youth Banking at Stanbic Bank Ghana’s SBIncubator, supporting startups and SMEs, and has led expansion efforts for innovation ecosystems across 17 African countries. As a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, he became the youngest participant at Davos 2018 and contributes to initiatives like the Africa 4.0 Malaika Coalition. Recognized among the Top 100 Most Influential Young Ghanaians and winner of the President’s Outstanding Youth Prize in Science & Technology (2019), he continues to champion technology as a driver for Africa’s development.
KEZIA ASIEDUA SANIE – Lawyer
A Ghanaian lawyer, social entrepreneur, and youth leader, best known as the Founder and President of For The Future (FTF) Ghana, an NGO providing education, mentorship, and healthcare support to underprivileged children. Starting as a student-led initiative at Wesley Girls’ High School, FTF has since impacted over 5,000 children across Ghana and Nigeria.
A graduate of the University of Ghana School of Law and the Ghana School of Law (called to the bar in 2024), Kezia is the youngest member of the Board of Trustees for the Ghana Head of State Award Scheme and a former National Youth Icon for NASAAG. She has been recognized globally as a finalist for the Chegg.org Global Student Prize and the .ORG Impact Awards. Actively involved in the Global Shapers Community and a delegate at international forums like the World Bank Youth Summit, she aspires to build a career in international human rights law while mentoring the next generation of changemakers.
KOFI CEPHAS – Brand Strategist
Kofi Cephas is known primarily as a Ghanaian brand strategist and digital marketer with over 7 years of experience. He co-founded GhGossip.com, a popular online portal for Ghanaian creative arts and news, and is currently involved in building White Lab Agency Ghana. He is recognized in Ghana’s digital and blogging spaces and was ranked 12th on Avance Media’s 2018 top 50 Ghanaian bloggers, noted for advancing Ghana’s creative arts industry through credible online content.
PRINCE GYASI – Visual Artist & Photographer
A self-taught visual artist who began photographing at 16 with an old iPhone, emphasizing ideas and emotion over material tools. Trained in Sculpture, Graphic Design, and Painting at Accra Academy, his work is both personal and community-driven, challenging Western notions of Africa and beauty.
Guided by his synesthesia, Gyasi associates colors with words—Wednesdays, for example, are aquamarine. His vivid, painting-like photographs elevate photography within fine art while celebrating the nobility of Black skin.
His work is held in major collections such as the Pinault Foundation (Paris), Jean Pigozzi’s collection, and Museo de Arte do Rio (Brazil). Exhibitions include a 2022 solo show at the Kyotographie Festival (Kyoto), group shows in Cannes and Brazil (2022), Apple’s Chasing the Light exhibition (2024, New York, London, Shanghai), and the 2025 “FEMMES” show curated by Pharrell Williams at Galerie Perrotin, Paris. Notably, in 2024 he became the first Black artist to shoot the Pirelli Calendar.
Beyond galleries, Gyasi has spoken at Oxford University’s Skoll World Forum (2019) and collaborated with brands like Apple, Converse, Balmain, Off-White, and publications including Madame Figaro, Vanity Fair, and GQ US.
FELIX AFRIYIE – Head, Digital Marketing & Innovation, Global Media Alliance
Felix Afriyie is a digital marketing and communications expert with 7+ years of experience leading high-impact strategies, campaigns, and innovations across corporate brands, NGOs, and government sectors. Currently serving as Head of Digital Marketing & Innovations at Global Media Alliance, Felix specializes in digital strategy, advertising, influencer partnerships, social campaigns, and corporate storytelling. His journey reflects a proven track record in agency leadership, now evolving toward executive roles in corporate marketing and communications. A thought leader, speaker, and strategist, Felix is passionate about shaping Africa’s digital future.
FRANKLIN COBBINAH (NEMESIS LOSO) – Ghanaian Rapper
Nemesis Loso is a fast-rising Ghanaian rapper known for his musical works including EPs like “Silent Killer” and “Glory Boy.” He is recognized for representing the Westside in his music and has gained attention through performances and interviews discussing his growth as an artist. His music is available on platforms such as Apple Music and Deezer, and he has released singles like “Westside,” which are popular in the Ghanaian music scene. Nemesis Loso actively shares his music and updates on social media, where he continues to build his profile as an emerging rap artist in Ghana.
ABOUT Y POWER ICONS 2025
The #YPOWERICONS2025 initiative continues until Friday, with YFM unveiling six exceptional young people daily across all platforms. Each group represents diverse sectors including entertainment, technology, business, politics, and social development, showcasing the breadth of talent driving Ghana’s future.
Building on the success of previous batches, this campaign celebrates young Ghanaians who are not only achieving personal success but also creating opportunities for others and representing Ghana with distinction on national and international stages.
As part of Youth Month and extending International Youth Day themes, #YPOWERICONS2025 demonstrates how local youth actions contribute to global development goals whilst inspiring the next generation of leaders.
