YFM, Ghana’s premier urban radio station, proudly presents the third batch of six outstanding individuals in the #YPOWERICONS2025 campaign, spotlighting remarkable young Ghanaians aged 15-35 who are reshaping industries and inspiring communities across the nation.
This latest group showcases digital innovators, creative entrepreneurs, and influential personalities who are using their platforms to drive meaningful change and represent Ghana on the global stage.
THE THIRD SIX Y POWER ICONS 2025
ODAMEA AMOAKO – Digital Transformation Strategist & Youth Advocate
A purpose-driven digital transformation strategist and youth advocate, Odamea Amoako is dedicated to advancing Africa’s development through innovation and leadership. As Founder of Generation Shift Africa, she shapes the continent’s next generation of leaders through mentorship and policy engagement. Her professional journey spans leadership roles including Head of Operations at HAQSA Foundation, where she mobilised over $400,000 in funding and expanded global visibility by 80%. Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at Mountcrest University College, she combines legal expertise with digital innovation to create lasting impact across governance, technology, and youth empowerment sectors.

WESLEY KESSE – Digital Content Creator & Fashion Entrepreneur
Born Kojo Asante Kesse, Wesley is a vibrant Ghanaian social media influencer and fashion entrepreneur who has captured hearts with his bold style and charismatic online presence. Rising to fame through platforms like TikTok and Instagram, he combines comedy, skits, and high-fashion content to engage his loyal following. As founder of Kesse Cooks, a culinary venture in East Legon, Wesley demonstrates his entrepreneurial spirit beyond social media. His evolution from influencer to businessman includes partnerships with major brands and recognition as Fashion Influencer of the Year at the 2024 Pulse Influencer Awards, solidifying his impact on Ghana’s digital and style culture.

FREE THE YOUTH – Streetwear Brand & Creative Collective
Free The Youth is a pioneering Ghanaian streetwear brand and artistic collective formed in 2013 in Tema. Founded by Jonathan “Joey Lit” Coffie, Kelly Sekfafor Foli, Richard “Kweku Maposh” Ormano, and late Winfred “Shace” Mensah, the group has evolved from showcasing Ghanaian street fashion to becoming a cultural movement. Operating from their Abelenkpe workshop, they create bold designs filled with cultural pride and social commentary. Their activism extends beyond fashion to youth empowerment, with collaborations including Nike’s Jordan Brand and features in Vogue and Hypebeast. Free The Youth continues redefining African creativity whilst opening economic opportunities for Ghana’s creative sector.

JEFFREY NORTEY – Actor, Content Creator & YouTuber
Jeffrey Nortey is a talented Ghanaian actor, content creator, and YouTuber who has made significant strides in Ghana’s entertainment industry. Known for his engaging performances and creative content, Jeffrey has built a strong following through his authentic storytelling and compelling screen presence. His work spans traditional acting roles and digital content creation, making him a versatile talent who bridges the gap between conventional media and modern digital platforms.

REV ERSKINE – Award-Winning Radio & Television Presenter
Born Erskine Amo Whyte, Rev Erskine is a distinguished Ghanaian radio and television presenter who has become one of the most recognisable voices in youth media. Raised in Kumasi in the Ashanti region, he studied economics and political science at the University of Ghana after completing his secondary education at Anglican Senior High School in Kumasi.
Rev Erskine’s broadcasting career began in 2013 when he joined the Y Campus Express radio show team as assistant producer and reporter for the University of Ghana. His talent and dedication quickly propelled him to become the host of Y Campus Express in 2015. His career reached new heights in February 2019 when he became the host of the popular Myd Morning Radio Show (MMRS), a position he continues to hold alongside his role as Programmes Manager at YFM Accra.
His versatility extends beyond radio, as he also hosts the Top 20 countdown show and serves as the voice behind daily entertainment news updates on 4SyteTV. Rev Erskine has demonstrated his acting abilities, featuring in “Selfie,” a Kobi Rana film alongside renowned actors including Adjetey Annan, Mzbel, and Kafui Danku.
Throughout his career, Rev Erskine has won several prestigious awards recognising his contribution to youth media and broadcasting excellence. His youth-focused programming has made him a trusted voice among Ghana’s younger generation, consistently delivering content that educates, entertains, and empowers. His dual role as both on-air personality and programmes manager allows him to shape YFM’s content strategy whilst maintaining direct connection with audiences through his engaging presentation style.
Rev Erskine’s commitment to youth development through media has established him as more than just a presenter he’s become a mentor and advocate for young Ghanaians, using his platform to highlight youth achievements and provide opportunities for emerging talent in the broadcasting industry.

DEACONESS ABOKOMAH – (Ebenezer Arthur) Digital Content Creator & Entertainer
Known professionally as Deaconess Abokomah, Ebenezer Arthur is a popular Ghanaian TikTok influencer from Sekondi Takoradi in the Western Region. He has gained widespread recognition for his humorous skits where he portrays stereotypical elderly Ghanaian women with remarkable authenticity. His unique style, influenced by his upbringing with his grandmother, combines cross-dressing and exaggerated feminine characters that have sparked both entertainment and conversation. Through his creative content, Deaconess Abokomah has carved out a distinctive niche in Ghana’s digital entertainment landscape.

The #YPOWERICONS2025 initiative continues until Friday, with YFM unveiling six exceptional young people daily across all platforms. Each group represents diverse sectors including entertainment, technology, business, politics, and social development, showcasing the breadth of talent driving Ghana’s future.
Building on the success of previous batches, this campaign celebrates young Ghanaians who are not only achieving personal success but also creating opportunities for others and representing Ghana with distinction on national and international stages.
As part of Youth Month and extending International Youth Day themes, #YPOWERICONS2025 demonstrates how local youth actions contribute to global development goals whilst inspiring the next generation of leaders.
