The launch took place at the Superb Pub in Kokomlemle, Accra with Y107.9 FM’s Jonny Stone as host, with the ‘Best DJ’ from ‘The Y Clash of the DJ’s’, DJ Coleda of Y102.5 FM thrilling fans to a Friday party theme.

Patrons and pool lovers came out to the party jam to grace the launch of the biggest pool tournament in Ghana.
Project lead, Manesseh Kwafo during the launch said, “Pool has not been a game on the national stage in Ghana but outside, it is different and that is why YFM has taken the role to help build and unearth quality talents from across the country. There are good talents but because the game is widely perceived as only a pub game, we hardly see them around. This year we’re trying to bring all the players together and of course certainly explode the fun.”

“You know it is going to be wild and a great experience when YFM is involved. Of course it’s not only about the bragging right but a lot of gifts from sponsors and a chance to take home huge GHC 10,000,” Eddy Blay Jnr, Programmes Manager of Y107.9 FM added.
The National Pool Tournament is set to kick start on October, 28, 2022 in Accra with the finals slated for January 2023. The pool tourney will be played across over 30 outlets in Ghana.
The YFM National Pool tournament is in partnership with the National Sports Authority of Ghana.
