Y107.9FM’s Y Lounge Disk Jockey, Nana Kessewa Adu better known as DJ Kess was adjudged Best Female Radio DJ of the Year at the just-ended Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.
The Annual Guinness Ghana DJ awards held at the Grand Arena, Ghana International Conference Center was created to celebrate and appreciate the talents of Disc Jockeys (DJs) as well as to foster the development of the Ghana music industry by rewarding and celebrating Radio, Mobile and Club Disc Jockeys who have excelled in their fields of endeavor.
DJ Kess with her ingenious mixing of music on the Y lounge has continued serving listeners with soothing great music for the drive time. Over the course of time, this extraordinary DJ has earned the accolade, ‘Africa’s Baddest DJ’ because of her finesse in beat making and music production where she has featured many artistes both local and international.
Upon receiving the award, DJ Kess said, “I am extremely honored to be receiving such an important award as the Female Radio DJ of the Year. I am truly grateful for the recognition I have received for my work, because I am very sure that every other nominee for this award was as capable if not more, of winning this award.
