YFM’s Programmes Manager and on-air personality, Erskine Amo Whyte (Rev. Erskine), has been selected by the German Embassy in Accra to participate in a prestigious International Visitors Programme in Germany, scheduled for 28 June to 4 July 2026, recognising his contribution to youth leadership, media and cultural communication.
The week-long programme brings together selected international professionals to engage with German institutions and policymakers on contemporary public policy issues. This year’s edition focuses on skilled labour migration and international cooperation.
Participants will visit key institutions and interact with government agencies, research organisations and industry stakeholders to exchange perspectives on labour mobility, skills development and international cooperation.
He was was selected based on his contributions to youth broadcasting, leadership development and creative industry engagement in Ghana.
Rev Erskine’s selection reflects his growing influence as a youth leadership voice, cultural communicator and creative industry strategist. As Programs Manager of Y107.9FM, Accra, he plays a central role in shaping Ghana’s most influential radio brand; overseeing programming direction while also anchoring two of its flagship shows: the MyD Morning Show and the inspirational leadership series “Y Leaderboard Series”.
Beyond radio, Erskine has built a strong presence as a brand influencer and creative partner for leading global and local brands including restore Local, Samsung, MTN and Malta Guinness while maintaining a strong digital footprint as a social media influencer. His work positions him uniquely at the intersection of media leadership, youth engagement and cultural diplomacy.
Within Ghana’s media landscape, he is widely regarded as one of the rare talents successfully combining radio management, on-air leadership and influencer marketing into a single integrated personal brand; making him a reference point in youth communication and creative industry leadership.
