Seasoned Sports Journalists and Pundit, Jerome Otchere, has praised the performance of the new management body of Asante Kotoko.

 

The former Editor of Asante Kotoko’s ‘Kotoko Express’ admitted that the club’s current management had steered the affairs of the Kumasi-based club perfectly and instilled hope in fans and sympathizers.

Speaking on the ‘#YSports Super Clash’ Twitter Spaces, he said; “Kotoko’s current management has managed the club well. Management has done well to carry the fans along with positive energy. Good leadership has pushed the team to this point.”

 

Jerome Otchere further mentioned that Asante Kotoko’s signings prior to the 2021/22 season have been beneficial and helped in the performance of the club.

 

“Kotoko’s recruitment has worked very well. You can see that there was a lot of thinking went into player purchases,” he added.

 

In January 2020, the Life Patron of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, appointed three new management board members to assist in the running of the club. After the appointments the team has since transformed with different innovations and policies. The new management board have given the club a face lift with numerous sponsorship deals with notable brands including Betika Ghana and the National Lottery Authority. The club have also reached partnership agreements with Southampton, UK based club to assist in the training of players and technical staff.
