It’s a wonderful time for African music lovers as Yugo makes his return to our speakers. The Nigerian singer, songwriter & record producer has been a sensation since his debut single ‘Before Before’ early in the year 2023.
His debut single was featured on Live Nation’s Ones to Watch editorial playlist (Now Watching), and recently interviewed by iHeartRadio’s DJ Mad Max on Sports & Hip-Hop and by SiriusXM’s DJ Anarchy for the new season of his show Tropical Takeover which airs on Pitbull’s Globalization.
Last year he performed onstage in Lagos, Nigeria, at ISL’s annual festival with headliners like Wande Coal, BNXN, Fireboy DML, Teni, Ruger, Lojay, Pheelz, LAX, Poco Lee, Costa Titch and some American stars like Rubi Rose, Dreezy, and Yung Bleu.
Renegade talks about a lover straying from her initial path of love & loyalty to becoming-you guessed it…Renegade. Yugo sings about how she doubts his love but remains faithful and committed to their relationship. His smooth vocals are laid out to glide rhythmically on the SHWOFF produced beat. Yugo is widely known for his eccentric sounds, and Renegade restores that sensation.
