Award-winning rapper and songwriter Black Sherif, has expressed gratitude and satisfaction following his dominant run at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
The rapper, popularly known as Blacko, emerged as Artiste of the Year after sweeping multiple awards on the night, further cementing his position as one of Ghana’s leading music exports.
Reflecting on the achievement in a heartfelt message shared after the ceremony, Black Sherif extended appreciation to his management team, collaborators and supporters who have contributed to his growth throughout the years. “To my team at RBA, and every collaborator who poured their all into this journey,” he wrote.
The rapper further described the moment as more than just another accomplishment in his career, emphasizing the impact of the work built over time.
“We didn’t just reach a milestone, we built a legacy,” he stated.
Black Sherif also sent a message to fans across the world, assuring them that greater moments still lie ahead in his journey. “To my fans across the globe: You are the foundation, you believed & invested in this beautiful journey before the world caught on. It’s only up from here,” he added.
The TGMA victory marks Black Sherif’s second Artiste of the Year win, making him the only Ghanaian artiste to reach this feat before 25 years, adding to a growing list of accolades that continue to elevate his influence both locally and internationally.
