Kylian Mbappe Picks His Ideal Footballer, Doesn't Select Himself

Kylian Mbappe has put together his ‘ideal footballer’ and though he’s not got room for himself, it’s fair to say the Frenchman knows his stuff.

ESPN asked the World Cup winner to pick out the best traits and qualities of players in the world and he went for several of the household names.

“I would choose Messi’s left foot, Neymar’s right foot, Cristiano’s mentality and Buffon’s class,” the PSG No.7 said.
“Which Mbappe’s part? There’s no need, it’s good just like this!”
A pretty frightening proposition if you ask me. We’re missing a defensive-minded player but it’s still brimming with ability all over the place and it’s hard to identify a weakness.

Mbappe, meanwhile, has been in the news after it emerged he earns £8.3 million per year, or £160,395 a week, as per Football Leaks.

But to his credit, the former Monaco man gave a very mature response in response to his earnings.
“It’s truly indecent for me, who comes from a fairly modest family.
“It’s true that it’s indecent but the market is like that. The world of football works like that.
“I’m not going to revolutionise football. I’m in a system. You have to know how to respect it and to stay in place.”
We shouldn’t forget that this is a lad who gave his entire World Cup match fees to charity when he didn’t need to.
Though it’s common practice for England players, it’s not always the case with other nations and so Mbappe deserves massive applause for donating €439,000 to Premiers de Cordee, who work with disabled and hospitalised children.
“I did not need to be paid. I was there to defend the colors of the country,” he told Vivienne Walt from TIME.
“Also, I earn enough money – a lot of money. So I think it is important to help those who are in need. A lot of people are suffering, a lot of people have diseases. For people like us, giving a helping hand to people is not a big thing.
“It doesn’t change my life, but it changes theirs. And if it can change theirs, it is a great pleasure. I gave the money to the charity where I am a sponsor [Mbappé sponsors the French charity Premiers de Cordée] because being handicapped is something difficult. Showing them that they can do sports like everyone it is something close to my heart.”
