Programmes Manager, Eddy Blay, speaking at the side lines of the event said:
‘’YFM will be replicating these parties every month to celebrate our key
stakeholders, the musicians and our listeners. It is a pleasure to put together a well-designed event for our listeners to enjoy. That is why we are on-ground and we went on-air at exactly 9:00pm to give our listeners at home a first-hand feel of what is happening on-ground’’, he said.
He also explained why having a surprise act as part of the event.
‘’ When Luther mounted the stage and a lot of people watching the stage, my eyes was just fixed on the faces of the audience. In that moment I couldn’t believe what I was watching: the awe on their face, their looks of surprise, and you could just see it in their eyes, that is what YFM stands for. Leaving lasting memories long after an event has ended’’, Eddy said proudly.
