Your world of quality entertainment e.TV Ghana, a subsidiary of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), has donated boxes of hand sanitizers to the Accra Psychiatric hospital located at the Asylum Down Accra.
The donation which was made on Friday April 3rd, was the station’s demonstration of its commitment to help the health facility in the fight against the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Nosisa Doe Programmes Manager of e.TV Ghana, in her speech at the handing over ceremony expressed her appreciation to the staff of the mental health facility for their dedication to duty.
“At e.TV Ghana we believe that every person in society needs love and support. We came to show our love and support to the patients who due to their state of mind can no longer take good care of themselves. We believe these sanitisers will assist them during this critical time we are in.
We also appreciate the medical staff here and felt strongly that as they are at the forefront of fight against the scourge of the coronavirus pandemic, we as a station also based in Asylum Down, we should show our support to them and the hospital” she stated.
The Principal nursing officer of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital, Samuel Cudjoe Hanu who received the sanitisers on behalf of the mental health facility expressed gratitude to e.TV Ghana for the kind gesture.
“I am grateful to e.TV for remembering in this difficult times, we are so grateful. With this gesture you have restored hope thank you. We will put these sanitisers to good use.
I want to encourage the general public, and other organisations to emulate
the steps of e.TV Ghana and come support our facility. Accra Psychiatric Hospital is here to support mental health patients but we cannot do it alone we need help and thanks to e.TV Ghana for showing the way” he said.
