Four finalists of YFM’s ‘Rapture’ rap contest, Kofi Kunta, Konfidential, Ananse Tac and Gaisieboi, have given fans a hint on what they should expect from them at the grand-finale of the competition.
These four rappers were interviewed on eTV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show to talk about the grand-finale of Rapture which is scheduled to take place on Friday, the 27th of August at exactly 7pm at the Accra Mall Food Court.
Kofi Kunta, talking to Foster Romanus on the show, expressed that he feels great having been granted this opportunity by YFM to showcase his talent to its vast audience and he promised greatness, fireworks, energy and dope raps.
Konfidential, who came all the way from the Brong Ahafo region to contest, also confessed that he has built links with reputable people in the music industry thanks to this platform that YFM has provided, hence, even if he does not win, he believes he will go back home more improved than he came.
Giving a hint of what he has prepared for his fans to witness come Friday, Konfidential said, “My fans know that the geng doesn’t like stress so they don’t need to stress. I’m killing it on Friday”.
Ananse Tac, although he has not yet won the competition, says he already feels like he has achieved a lot because even being on YFM, is not an everyday opportunity and that is something that is immensely grateful to be a part of. He confessed that YFM has built his confidence even more and taught him to keep his lyrics clean. “You should expect punchlines, bars, realness, the best flows and confidence”, he assured ahead of Friday.
The fourth finalist, Gaisieboi, admitted that although he believes in his talent, he knows it is only by God’s grace that he has gotten this far in the competition. He also acknowledged that YFM has taught him that anyone can climb high up the music ladder so long as they have the talent.
He urged fans to expect more great things this Friday. “All the contestants are fire and we want to exhibit what we can do to the world so they should expect something great and awesome”, the rapper further concluded.
Kweku Wina, Amino Cortez and Seki Muzik, the last three of the seven finalists, will also be present on Friday to battle for the GHC50,000 worth of distribution deals and GHC10,000 cash price set aside for whoever emerges winner.
