Kim Kardashian has fled France on a private jet after masked men put a gun to her temple, left her tied up in the bathroom of her luxury residence in Paris and stole millions of dollars’ worth of jewellery in the early hours of Monday.
The reality star, 35, was robbed by five armed men wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings. The men stole a jewellery box worth €6 million ($6.7 million) and a ring worth €4 million ($4.5 million), prompting fears that the valuables were personal ones, and not just jewellery Kim was borrowing for fashion week. An insider said the total worth could be as high as $16 million.
Kim also lost two of her prized smart phones – ones that are likely to contain a great deal of personal information.
At around 3am, the robbers entered the building after the concierge let them in. Handcuffed and at gunpoint, he then led them to the starlet’s flat. Two of the men entered Kim’s room, put a gun to her temple, tied her up with packing tape and locked her in the bathroom.
The mother-of-two, who is in the city for Paris Fashion Week, is ‘badly shaken but physically unharmed’, a spokesperson told DailyMail.com.
The incident comes just five days after Kim praised her personal bodyguard Pascal Duvier as ‘the best in town’ after he saved her from being tackled by serial prankster Vitalii Sediuk. However, Pascal was pictured out with Kourtney Kardashian on Sunday night, suggesting he was not with Kim when the raid took place.
