Sophia Baah, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of mPharma, has disclosed what inspired her to join the brand.
During an interview with host of the “Myd Morning Show”, Rev Erskine, on Leaderboard Series, Sophia Baah recounted that she was actually introduced to mPharma by her brother.
However, since she was inspired to make an impact in the educational and healthcare sectors, she felt motivated to join mPhrma as she believed their vision to make healthcare easily accessible and affordable on the African continent aligned with hers after a conversation with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Gregory Rockson.
“So before I left Ghana, my brother had spoken about this amazing company, mPharma and kept stressing that I had to meet Gregg. So eventually I called Gregg who is the CEO and co-founder of mPharma and he explained to me what mPharma was trying to do. It was actually a no brained for me because of what he was trying to accomplish. At the time it was really about making health affordable and accessible in Africa. When I moved to Ghana my biggest areas of concern for me were around education and in healthcare,” she said.
Sophia Baah commenting on the nature of her role at mPharma indicated that it has been interesting and challenging to always do better but does not appear to be tedious to her.
“I don’t think my role is tedious, it has been interesting since I joined and with what Greg is trying to achieve. So seeing somebody who was actually trying to break the barriers and change the dynamics around health care provision was really exciting for me. So my day to day is to really make sure that we’re executing and implementing that vision through the various ways,” she added.
