Sierra Leonean songwriter and rap artiste, XZU-B, says Sierra Leone is not very developed in the entertainment business compared to other countries.
According to him, Ghana is more advanced in music production both in audio and visuals aspect, unlike his country. “I came to Ghana to record his third studio project because Ghana is far advanced in music than Sierra Leone”
He said this in an interview with BrownBerrry on YFM Ryse n Shyne show.
“When you think about where we came from, having a whole eleven years of war and fighting while other countries have been pushing forward, I guess that’s what came with a little bit of lapses in terms of entertainment”, he said.
XZU-B said it is fair to say that their music industry is doing great for starters. “So far, it’s been great because we have a lot of great artistes in Sierra Leone who are doing tremendous work and crossing boundaries”, he stated.
He stated that Sierra Leonean music just needs a little more time, re-arrangement and set-up, and it will go far. Nevertheless, “It’s been great so far”.
