Leadership has received varied degrees of meaning and definitions on the Y leaderboard Series, but Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hair Senta, Gwyneth Gyimah Addo, bringing a new twist to the meaning of leadership, described it as “responsibility.”
She realized early on in life that every leader has to treat their role as serving those they have been given charge over and nothing less than that.
“For me leadership means responsibility and earlier on in life, I learnt to treat leadership as having to serve,” she shared in an interview with Y107.9FM’s Rev Erskine on the ‘Myd Morning Radio Show’.
According to her, leadership is not a title for one to simply carry along but a calling. “All of us want to be successful but to be successful, you have to serve and leadership is a byproduct of learning to serve.”
Gwyneth Gyimah Addo applauds her dad for inspiring her to live her life as it is now. “My dad was a businessman with a lot of experience and I picked a lot from him and my mum. My coach also always tells me to stay in line and never forget or lose sight of the goal.”
Young Gwyneth loved to play and hang out with friends, and has always been adventurous.
