Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IQ Smart Buzz, Ephraim Arthur has argued that the possible way of prospering in the music industry is to farm for streams.
According to him, it saves musicians and content creators from going through the daunting task of promoting their music and content manually.
“If you are online and you want to increase your revenue the hard way that’s your choice, it’s like a shortcut,” he told Hypeman Ferggy on Y979FM’s “Y Entertainment Podium”.
The content creator revealed that “we buy the IP address from multiple countries which we import the software we have created. The IP address represent countries like USA, Ghana, Germany. These IP addresses basically represent people.”
He furthered that the system updates from Google and YouTube among others prevent the function of the IP addresses by updating their system hence, “once they update it affects our system so we do our possible best to also overcome the updates.”
A Streaming Farm is essentially a network that increases a song’s streams through the use of automated systems or multiple phones. It’s a grey market used by artists to shore up their numbers and get an (undue) advantage on charts.
