Ghanaian Afro RnB musician, Mya Sima, has expressed how she enjoys recording sessions in Ghana because Ghanaian music producers understand her kind of music better.
The Belgium-based singer said sound producers in Belgium are not really used to her style, adding that “They like to listen to this; they just can’t work with it.” she connoted.
She highlighted that music producers in Belgium find it difficult to work with her sound but Ghanaian music producers on the other hand, help her to understand what she wants to do.
“I live in Belgium so when I come to Ghana, I try to be as productive as possible and record as many songs as possible.” she expounded, knowing that she would have to ‘make hay while the sun shines’ in other words grasp every available opportunity to record music.
She made these intriguing statements in an interview on Y107.9FM’s YLounge with host Akosua Hanson, in an attempt to describe the creative process of how she makes her music.
The Belgium based musician within the timeframe of two years as a professional musician has made an impressive number of streams on music streaming platforms with her sweet melodious tunes which undoubtedly reveals the handiwork of good producers and an amazing vocalist.
