Ghanaian – Australia based Afrobeat musician Mike Akox has disclosed that making others happy plays an important role regarding the progress of his music career.
Apart from being a musician, Akox is also an active philanthropist. “Music is a gift from God, and the purpose is to help humanity; He gives you the gift, and the gift is to give you the platform to do something great.” he added.
He revealed that extending a helping hand to the needy in society is what motivates him to strive for greater heights in his music career.
In an interview on Y107.9FM’s Ryse N Shyne with host, Brown Berry, the Afrobeat musician made mention of a few philanthropic activities he engaged in, such as taking infants to school, feeding the poor and many others.
Mike Akox noted that serving humanity and putting smiles on people’s faces gives him a source of unending joy, which in turn makes him enjoy his career as a musician, and its journey geared towards global stardom.
“A while ago I felt like I was alone and through my journey of enlightenment, I figured I was never alone; these kids and helping humanity is where the joy is in the music; and they make me happy. It brings joy to me. When I see people happy that’s what I feed off,” he explained
