Renowned Nigerian comedian Bright Okpocha known to showbiz as BasketMouth has revealed his astonishment after receiving a free verse from Ghanaian dancehall musician for a song on his upcoming album.
BasketMouth in an Accra based radio entertainment segment interview disclosed that Shatta was not one he has had frequent conversations which gives him a reason to be more surprised about Shatta Wale’s generosity. “I have known Shatta Wale for a while, but we’ve never had an opportunity to speak properly.” he stated.
During the interview, the socialite recalled how his song with Shatta Wale was birthed, reminiscing on how enthusiastic Shatta was regarding the record. “I told him that look I’m working on this album; I sent him the song and he loved it. Within a few hours he was done with it, and had given me his verse and he nailed it; he said you know what? You don’t need to pay any royalty or anything it’s for free, take it, it’s yours.” he shared.
BasketMouth noted that he is mellowed by Shatta Wale’s level of generosity and was indeed thrilled to have Shatta Wale on his album.
