Ghanaian musician Jane Awindor popularly known as Efya, has disclosed how she enjoys fulfilling her purpose with all the challenges that come with it.
She believes great things will not come to one easily, hence people always need to be prepared for the challenges ahead.
Speaking in an interview with Brown Berry on Y107.9FM’s RyseNShyne show, she said, “You have to be prepared to do the job and do it well continuously. As time goes on, it comes in different phases. So, it’s like if you feel that’s your purpose, you have to put in all your energy and God gives you enough energy to be able to handle it.”
Responding to how she deals with haters and negativity around her career, she emphasized that she pays no attention to negativity “as they only bring you down.
“You need to pay attention to the people who give you positive energy regardless of all the negative comments or whatever. There are still positive ones so, why not concentrate on that instead since that’s what gives you more good energy,” she added.
“You don’t have to be a musician, whatever it is that you do, defer from giving the negative energy and attention regardless of how much it affects you. Even if it’s two people supporting you, keep your focus on because that’s all that matters,” she disclosed.
