In a recent interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show, (MMRS), Cina Soul shared some surprising insights about her career path with hosts Rev Erskine and DJ Ganj.
The Afro Soul singer, known for her captivating voice, has been making waves in the music industry. However, few people know that she has a background in acting.
According to Cina Soul, she appeared in a few films several years ago, including “Sugar”, a visual album movie by Kidi, and “Stay True”, a movie for kids.
However, she made the decision to step away from acting, despite being offered roles, due to the common perception in Ghana that it’s difficult to successfully pursue both music and acting.
“In Ghana, there’s a perception that combining music and acting undermines one’s credibility, so I had to choose one,” she explained.
Fortunately, she chose to focus on music, which has become her primary passion. Although she may revisit acting in the future, music remains her top priority.
Interestingly, Cina Soul revealed that music came before acting for her. While she’s open to lucrative movie opportunities, her focus remains on creating great music. With her unique sound and style, Cina Soul continues to make waves in the music industry.
