Listen Up: Henry Abossey features Trigmatic on ‘Ayilove’

Highlife musician, Henry Abossey has revealed his readiness to take over the Ghanaian music industry with his latest Afrobeats record Ayilove.
The multi-talented musician’s target with this effort is to showcase the dynamism, richness and originality of Ghanaian music to the rest of the world.
Henry Abossey revealed that although he is more identified with Afrobeats, he is very familiar with the sounds that resonate with the new generation.
“Music is a strong tool and never goes out of date because if you pay attention to the recent music on air, the young generation are sampling a lot of records from back in day and people are feeling the sound. That is why I featured Trigmatic who part of the new generation to add a youthful vibe to Ayilove”
Explaining the uniqueness of his brand Henry Abossey revealed he pays a lot of attention to his lyrics and sounds because he knows the impact of words and instrument on people.
“When you listen to my music, I go a bit deeper, my style and the instrumentation is different from what is already out there. I try to be unique at every point with my music and my aim also is to be a positive impact on the people that listen to my music. I have been around for a while and I believe I have made a lot of contribution to the landscape considering the effort I have put into building my brand, career and my music to this point.“
Henry Abossey started his career in the early 90s and has released many albums and collaborations with many musicians and bands. He is known for records including Burma, Lofro Bibio, Akpeteshie and Le Mi Ni Ma Le Bo.
“I chose music because it’s a passion and I believe if you do what you love, you don’t see it as work. Music is the way I want to impact my society. This song is about a man named Ayi who is very a good man and does a lot of good but rarely takes credit for anything. This song is an acknowledgement to all the good he has done for society.” Henry Abossey added.
