DailyFood producers of Boss Baker has collaborated with FoodForAll to observe the maiden edition of Nation Pastry Day on Saturday 8th December 2018 at Daily Food Industrial Bakery premises, North Industrial area – Accra.
The event is centered on charity and encouraging the Ghanaian industry to instill the habit of consuming healthy pastry products.
According to the Managing Director of DailyFood Mr. Geoffrey Fadoul, National Pastry Day is an event many Ghanaians do not know it exist but DailyFood, Boss Baker and FoodForAll are delighted to announce that this event will be celebrated annually in Ghana.
He added that, celebration of National Pastry Day is not about DailyFood, Boss Baker but is about well celebrating with the people who don’t not have the means to celebrate.
He however added that, next year, he will make sure his outfit will bring more companies on board to enable them celebrate or mark the day bigger in a grand style by giving more to the needy.
On his part, Founder of FoodForAll Chef Elijah Amoo Addo revealed that, when you take four children in Ghana currently, one out of four child actually go to bed without food, He bemoaned that, at a time 45% of food is being wasted along the food supply chain.
He added, “We are much grateful to DailyFood and Boss Bakers for deciding to join the FoodForAll foundation to feed the needy. They wouldn’t just be feeding the venerable but their staff will on regularly basis sacrifice their time to share food products for the venerable on the streets of Accra and other parts of the country.”
Director of Non-Governmental Organisation’s (NGO’s) at the Departments of Social Welfare Mr. Stephen Dombo highly praised Boss Baker, FoodForAll for the brilliant initiative they have taken to support the venerable on the streets.
Every week 300 venerable people on the streets of Accra and other parts of the country can have access to product of the biggest Pastry Company in Ghana [DailyFood] free.
As part of the celebration, DailyFood, Boss Baker, and FoodForAll donated some products of DailyFood to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.
