Facebook is working on a new way to verify your identity, using a selfie and facial recognition software.
Facebook is always looking for better ways to have people use its services and especially making it easier to login on the platform. And, according to Jane Manchun Wong, the company is now working on a new facial-recognition identity login that will compare you with a set of preloaded selfies.
Jane shared a video in a tweet earlier today that shows how Facebook would be asking users to take a selfie by looking in different directions, creating the perfect mapping for facial recognition.
Wong also noted that the selfies, or video selfie, will remain private and will be automatically deleted 30 days after identity confirmation.
