Ghanaian presenter, Linzy Joy, popularly known as LJ has shared her journey to becoming a radio presenter and what those aspiring to be radio presenters can learn from her journey.
In an interview with Mercy Bee, she revealed that she was at the right place at the right time and she believes that whatever is meant to come your way will come at the right time.
“I won’t say it was easy but I will say it was perfect. At the right time, the universe puts you where you are supposed to be. So it was my time to be here and I met who I was supposed to be. I honestly think you will be there if you are meant to be there. There is no reason to force yourself”.
She revealed that she only started as an administrator at Y FM before she became a presenter at the station. She was of the view that great talents cannot be ignored even though it may take some time to be identified.
Her advice for the youth was: “To be a presenter, you need to be ready to unlearn some of the things you have learnt. You need to know who you are in the first place. If you are not good at communicating with people, you will have to learn. Find yourself first before you look up to somebody”.
LJ is the host of ‘WakeNBake’, aired on YFM every Saturdays from 6am-9am.
