In honor of Social Media Day, celebrated annually on 30 June, Kojo Manuel, the host of YFM’s drive time show, has advised listeners to be cautious with their social media posts.
In a rant, the award-winning Events Mc pointed out that people have lost several opportunities due to their social media posts. From losing business deals, being declined a job offer, and being rejected from holding a public position, the effects are diverse.
Kojo Manuel cited American actor and comedian Kevin Hart, who had to step down as host of the 2019 Academy Awards after a series of homophobic tweets he put up in the past, resurfaced.
The Dryve of Your Lyfe host further admonished listeners to desist from cyberbullying celebrities. “Be positive, stop cyber bullying, stop trolling people, stop living for that.” He pleaded.
Manny Yo concluded his rant by reminding listeners that social media posts could haunt and hurt them in the future.
